ABOUT US
HISTORY
Nanaimo Native Victory Church was founded over 60 years ago by Pastor Carl Miller together with the Nanaimo Indigenous people. At that time, the church was actively involved in reclaiming Indigenous children who were being taken to residential schools, and for decades it has worked for Indigenous rights, welfare, and Indigenous missions.
Nanaimo Native Victory Church is affiliated with The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC), the largest evangelical denomination in Canada and a theologically conservative body. Representative churches within this denomination in the surrounding region include Nanaimo Generation Church, Vancouver Broadway Church, Langley CLA, and Victoria Coastline Church. The PAOC is in sister fellowship with the Yoido Full Gospel Church denomination in Korea and the Assemblies of God denomination in the United States.
VISION
We are committed to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ
and building God’s church among all 53 Indigenous tribes across Vancouver Island. Nanaimo Central Church joins in this vision, partnering in Indigenous ministry throughout
Vancouver Island and northern British Columbia.
